Workout for a busy life and Black Friday

Your workout doesn’t have to be perfect. Modify your schedule. Modify your workout itself so it fits into your busy life. This becomes more important with holiday weeks like Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

If you miss a workout, remind yourself this happens to everyone. Just reschedule it with a firm deadline again. Look over your actual schedule and write it. Studies have found that writing down your goals makes you much more likely to accomplish them.

Next week is Thanksgiving and that will throw off many schedules including mine. Take the time to write in a workout. For me, I’ll be doing one on Black Friday rather than fighting my way through crowds and getting caught in budget-busting shopping fever.

REI is closed Black Friday. They’re suggesting people go outside and Opt to Act for the Environment. I’ll be walking my pet and looking for trash around the salmon-bearing stream, Bear Creek, a tributary to the Sammamish River near my home. Yes, it really does look as idyllic as in the actual picture below.
